এই অনুষ্ঠানে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়টির বাংলাদেশ আঞ্চলিক ব্যবস্থাপক মো. নুরুজ্জামান ২০২৫ সালের জানুয়ারিতে ভর্তির প্রক্রিয়া সম্পর্কে বিভিন্ন তথ্য প্রদান করেন।

উল্লেখ্য, ইউনিভার্সিটি অভ পোর্টসমাউথ দক্ষিণ-পূর্ব ইংল্যান্ডে অবস্থিত একটি সরকারি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়। এই বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে প্রায় ২৯,০০০ শিক্ষার্থী রয়েছে যাদের মধ্যে ৫,০০০ এরও বেশি আন্তর্জাতিক শিক্ষার্থী। এই আন্তর্জাতিক শিক্ষার্থীদের মধ্যে ২,০০০ এরও বেশি বাংলাদেশী।
সকল বাংলাদেশী শিক্ষার্থী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়টিতে ২,৫০০ পাউন্ডের একটি নিশ্চিত ভাইস-চ্যান্সেলর গ্লোবাল ডেভেলপমেন্ট স্কলারশিপ এবং ৫,০০০ পাউন্ডের চ্যান্সেলর’স গ্লোবাল একাডেমিক মেরিট স্কলারশিপ পাবেন।

University of Portsmouth pre-departure session held in Dhaka
The University of Portsmouth Bangladesh Regional Office arranged an in-person pre-departure session for the students in Dhaka on 6th of January.
Bangladesh Regional Manager of the university Md. Nuruzzaman provided insights into the process of joining the January 2025 intake at the University of Portsmouth in the event.
The students are going to join various disciplines including Engineering, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, International Business Management, Digital Marketing, LLM Law, MBA Global, Information System, Energy and Power Systems Management, Film, Television and Production, Masters of Research, Business Communication for International Leadership, Educational Leadership and Management, Water and Environmental Engineering, Cyber Security and Forensic Information Technology, Financial Technology, Engineering Management, Advance Manufacturing, Civil and Mechanical Engineering, Data Analytics.
Mentionable, the University of Portsmouth is a public university based in southeast England. The University is home to around 29,000 students including over 5,000 international students where more than 2,000 are from Bangladesh.
All Bangladeshi students will get a guaranteed Vice-Chancellor Global Development Scholarship of GBP 2,500 and Chancellor’s Global Academic Merit Scholarship of GBP 5,000 in the university.
Besides, there is 50% scholarship opportunities for the selected courses.
