• He was born on 17th of November, 1952 in Soweto of South Africa.
• On February 15, 2018, the National Assembly elected Cyril Ramaphosa as the next President of South Africa without any opposition following the resignation of President Jacob Zuma in February 2018.
• On May 22, 2019, the National Assembly unanimously elected Ramaphosa to a first full term as president.
